Recipe groups
Plan your week, or any set of meals, and turn it into one shopping list.
What a recipe group is
A recipe group collects recipes you cook together, like this week's dinners or a party menu, each for its own number of servings and with its side dishes. From a group, Greezy makes one shopping list with everything added up.
Your family sees and edits your groups, as you see theirs.
Create a recipe group
- Open “Recipe Groups” and press “Add Group”.
- Enter the “Group Name”, e.g. “Week 12”.
- Press “Add Recipe”, find the recipe in the list (search and tags work as in your recipes) and tap it.
- Add the other recipes the same way.
- Press “Save”.
- A group needs at least one recipe, and a side dish for every placeholder of its recipes.
Servings and notes
Each recipe starts with the servings it is written for. Change them with the + and − buttons next to the number of servings.
The field “Label / Notes” takes a note, e.g. “Monday” or “for the kids”.
The arrow next to a recipe's name opens the recipe in a new tab.
Side dishes in a group
A recipe with room for side dishes shows a field for each placeholder, e.g. “Add Rice (4.00)”. Tap it and pick a side dish: the list shows the recipes tagged with the placeholder's name, with their ingredients. Tap the field again to pick another one.
From a group to a shopping list
Under “Recipe Groups”, every group has two buttons: “Create list” makes a new shopping list with all its ingredients, named after the group and today's date, and opens it. “Shop now” puts them on a temporary list to order from right away.
On the group's own page, “Shop now” works once the group is saved.
- To add a group to a list you already have, open the list and use “Add Group to List”.
Change or delete a group
Tap a group to open it. Change servings, notes and side dishes, add recipes or remove one with the bin next to it, and press “Save”.
“Delete” at the bottom of the group, or the bin on its card in the list, deletes the group. Its recipes stay.
- When someone leaves your family, their recipes go with them. Your groups still show them, but Greezy saves such a group only once you take them out.
