Importing recipes
Take recipes from Picnic, Chefkoch, HelloFresh and Pinterest into your collection.
How importing works
- Open “Recipes” → “Import” and pick a source at the top: Picnic, Chefkoch, HelloFresh or Pinterest.
- Search, or pick a category or collection.
- Tick the recipes you want; tapping a recipe ticks it too.
- Press the import button at the bottom; it says how many recipes it imports.
- Each one becomes a new recipe of yours, with its ingredients, servings, steps and picture.
- “Already in your recipes”: you imported it before.
- The import didn't work; the message says why.
- “Imported”: it is in your recipes now; “Open” opens it.
Picnic
The Picnic tab needs your Picnic login. It shows the recipes you saved and the ones you made in Picnic, and you can search Picnic's cookbook or browse its categories.
Greezy takes the amounts each recipe needs and marks pantry staples like salt and oil “Optional”. Picnic recipes have no web page, so instead of a source they get the tag “Picnic”.
Chefkoch
Search Chefkoch's recipes or browse its categories; you need no account. Each import links to the recipe on chefkoch.de. Chefkoch Plus recipes are paid content, so they are left out.
HelloFresh
Search HelloFresh's recipes or pick a collection; you need no account. Greezy takes the amounts for 2 servings and marks what HelloFresh doesn't deliver, like salt, oil and water, “Optional”.
HelloFresh offers the same recipe again every few weeks; Greezy shows each one once.
- Enter a Pinterest name (like “chefkochde”), or paste a link to a profile or board, and press “Show boards”.
- Pick a board.
- Tick the pins you want and import them.
- Greezy imports the page a pin links to, like an import from a link. Pins without a link, or of pages without recipe data, can't be imported.
- Pinterest shows only public boards to visitors who aren't signed in, and of large boards only some of the pins, a different selection each time.
- Greezy remembers the profile you opened last on this device.
After importing
Open an imported recipe and look it over: check the units, add your tags and, for a main dish, room for side dishes. The recipe is yours now; changing it doesn't change the original.
